National Register Private Island Sarasota Bay Estate with Guest House, Tennis Court and Dock
Over saw the acquisition, design, reconstruction, furnishing and landscaping of a National Register estate on a private island, in Sarasota Florida. The structure was fortified to hurricane standards, foundation was replaced, utilities were updated. The kitchen, family room and dining room were doubled in size. A master suite, sleeping porch and large verandas were added. Landscape was reimagined to focus views and create privacy on the site. Irrigation was installed. The challenge was to dramatically expand the home while maintaining the old Florida character of the property.
